A 6-year-old boy caused a stir when he came to his Brooklyn school Tuesday with a plastic toy gun, officials with the city's Department of Education tell NBC 4 New York.
The boy brought the toy to P.S. 195 in Manhattan beach. Officials with the NYPD's press office initially said the item appeared to be a BB or pellet gun and that officers were investigating; it was later determined to be a toy weapon.
Authorities said no one was hurt and the school was taking appropriate follow-up action.
