Boy, 14, Gunned Down in Brooklyn

Mario Smith, 14, was shot and killed in Brooklyn on Dec. 2.

A 14-year-old boy has been shot and killed in Brooklyn.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of Mario Smith on Kingston Avenue in the Crown Heights section.

They said officers responding to a 911 call about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday found Smith's body.

They said he had been shot in the torso. He was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital.

The killing remains under investigation, according to police.
