A 42-year-old man was found dead from a gunshot wound Saturday near a swimming pool inside a park in Queens, police said.
Responding to a 2:30 a.m. report of an unconscious man, police found the victim, who had been shot in the head, lying on the ground near the Astoria Park pool, investigators said.
The man, whose name was being withheld until family could be notified, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
