DA Releases Sketch of Woman Found in Suitcase

The body was found in a suitcase washed up along the Passaic River in Newark on March 5

Prosecutors in New Jersey have released a sketch of the woman whose body was found in a suitcase earlier this month, and are asking for the public's help in identifying the woman.

The body was found in a suitcase washed up along the Passaic River in Newark on March 5, after someone phoned in a tip to police. It was discovered in the area of Raymond Boulevard and Van Buren Street, not far from Penn Station.

The Essex County Prosecutor's Office said the woman has a very small frame, and was dressed in gray slacks and a red blouse when she was found. The body was intact.

Investigators were unable to identify the woman using her fingertips.

Anyone who might be able to identify the woman is asked to contact the Essex County Prosecutor's Office at 877-847-7432.
