Man, Woman Found Shot to Death in L.I. Home

Nassau County police say the bodies of a woman and a man have been found with gunshot wounds in a home in Elmont.
Police say officers were summoned to the home Monday evening by a call reporting the smell of gas. They say officers found no gas leak, but discovered the bodies of a 46-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man with apparent gunshot wounds.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the deaths.
