Bloomberg's Official Mayoral Portrait Placed in City Hall

The official portrait of Mayor Michael Bloomberg was hung in City Hall Monday morning.

The portrait, by Jon. R. Friedman, was privately funded and given to the city, according to city officials.

The oil-on-canvas portrait hangs in City Hall just outside the Blue Room.  In the portrait, the mayor is holding his arms folded as he stands unsmiling in front the bullpen-style workplace that is a hallmark of his administration and management style.
