A blind lawyer and triathlete is recovering from serious injuries he suffered after a speeding bicyclist struck him in Central Park.
Richard Bernstein, of Detroit, said he was walking through the park on Monday when he was thrown to the ground.
He said he was in the city training for his eighth New York City Marathon. He said was in the pedestrian pathwalk when he was hit from the back.
He suffered a fractured pelvis and hip and lost some teeth, but hasn't lost his sense of humor.
Bernstein said he should have asked the bicyclist: "Are you blind?''
The cyclist remained on the scene.
