A bird struck an Austrian Airlines plane landing at Newark airport on Friday afternoon, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
The Boeing 767 landed safely and there were no injuries, Jim Peters of the FAA said.
Austrian Airlines Flight 89 departed from Vienna and landed at about 1:19 p.m.
Peters said the FAA will investigate.
