De Blasio to Hold Open House After Inauguration

    The inauguration for Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio will be followed by an open house at Gracie Mansion a few days later, the future mayor's team announced Tuesday.

    De Blasio will take the oath of office Jan. 1 at noon at City Hall, and tickets for the public will be made available.

    On Jan. 5, the first family will hold an open house at their new home.

    “Mayor-elect de Blasio has pledged an Inauguration for all New Yorkers, and that’s what New Yorkers will get in these ceremonies,” Gabrielle Fialkoff, chair of the Inauguration, said.
