A bicyclist has died after being struck by a car on Long Island, police said Saturday.
Steven Preitz, 42, who apparently had no address, was hit at about 10 p.m. Friday by an eastbound car on Express Drive South in the hamlet of Holtsville, according to Suffolk County police.
Preitz was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Christopher Chizzoniti, 20, of Holbrook, the driver of the car, was not charged in the accident, investigators said.
