Bicyclist, 51, Killed in Hit-and-Run on Long Island

Police are looking for a light-colored sedan seen fleeing the scene

Police on Long Island say a 51-year-old man riding his bike was killed in a hit-and-run accident.

Suffolk County police say Bradford Packer struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Nesconset Highway at 9:15 p.m. Thursday.

The Port Jefferson Station resident was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A light-colored Hyundai sedan fled the scene.

Police ask anyone with information about the crash to contact the Vehicular Crime Unit at 631-852-6555.
