Bicyclist Hit by NJ Transit Train in Hoboken

A bicyclist in his 30s has suffered leg and head injuries after being struck by a New Jersey Transit light rail train in Hoboken.

Transit spokesman John Durso Jr. says the man was hit around 5:25 p.m. Thursday after he rode his bicycle around a southbound train and was struck by a northbound train moving at low speed.
 
The Jersey Journal reports that the accident happened at the Paterson Avenue crossing near the Second Street Light Rail Station in Hoboken.
 
The man has been taken to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment.
