Yahoo Travel named Hill Country Barbecue Market as the best place to get barbecue in New York.
The site set out to find the best places to get charred food in each state because, as they say, some people believe “good barbecue only exists in a handful of states.”
Yahoo Travel said Hill Country finds its inspiration in Texas meat and music. The site recommends opting for the burnt ends, followed by the nanna pudding.
The restaurant has locations in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
In Jersey, McWhorter BBQ in Newark takes top honors from Yahoo Travel. The site says the eatery is proof that Portuguese barbecue serves quite well when there's no Texas-oriented joint in town.
