Brooklyn Woman Robbed at Apartment Doorstep

The victim was entering an apartment at Kosciuszko Street when she was asked for the time, then robbed

A woman in Brooklyn was assaulted and robbed as she entered an apartment last month, and police have released surveillance video of the incident.

The 26-year-old woman was entering an apartment at Kosciusczko Street in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn just after midnight on April 9 when another woman in her 30s approached her to ask for the time, police said.

When the victim took out her iPhone to check, a man appeared from behind and placed her in a chokehold, police said. He demanded her phone and purse, and the pair of suspects then ran away.

The male suspect is described as being in his 30s, about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. The female suspect appeared to be about 5 feet 3 inches and 170 pounds.
