3 Shot Outside Brooklyn Deli: Police

It may be related to an argument that started inside a deli, the deli owner says

Police are questioning a 25-year-old man in connection with a shooting on a Brooklyn sidewalk that wounded three people, authorities say.

The victims, a 61-year-old woman, a 63-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, were shot near Pulaski Street and Stuyvesant in Bedford-Stuyvesant shortly before 6 p.m. according to police.

They were all taken to Kings County Hospital with serious injuries, authorities said. A gun was recovered from the scene.

The owner of the F & A Deli Grocery store said the shooting may be related to an altercation that started inside his store. He said two women began fighting inside the store, and when he told them to take it outside, they continued to argue on the sidewalk.

That's when a man walked up and began shooting, the deli owner said, though it's not clear who exactly got shot in the melee or if they were involved in the fight between the women.

Authorities are also trying to figure out if a bullet-riddled car that crashed about two blocks away is involved.

Charges have not yet been filed against the person in custody.
