Authorities say the suspect and an alleged accomplice stole clothing from the department store's flagship location on Madison Avenue Saturday around 5:30 p.m.

Barneys employees alerted police to the theft, according to DNAInfo, and officers attempted to take the suspects into custody.

One suspect was handcuffed; the other resisted, injuring an officer before running off. The hurt officer was taken to a hospital with a back injury. He was treated and released.

Authorities released surveillance video (above) of the suspect.
