Baby Carried Out of Burning Building, 4 Others Injured: FDNY

Firefighters carried a 9-month-old baby out of the second floor of a burning building following a fire that left four other injured in Brooklyn Wednesday night.

Four adults and the baby were injured in the fire, which started around 3:30 p.m. above a store at 4714 Church Avenue in East Flatbush, according to the FDNY.

The 9-month-old baby was conscious and alert when firefighters carried the infant out of the building, officials said.

The baby and the adults were taken to Kings County Hospital in serious but stable condition.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
