A wrong-way drunken driver collided with a Westchester County police cruiser, injuring both drivers and closing the northbound Bronx River Parkway, police say.
Police say the injuries of both drivers were not considered serious.
Police say the officer was headed north at 4 a.m. Monday when a BMW going south in the northbound lanes ran into his car head-on at Claremont Road.
Police say the road was still closed at 7:30 a.m.
Police charged the driver of the BMW with vehicular assault, driving while intoxicated and other charges.
