    Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly tried to rape a woman walking on a street in Woodside, Queens in the early morning hours of August 16.

    Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly tried to rape a woman walking on a street in Woodside, Queens in the early morning hours of August 16. 

    The 23-year-old woman was walking along Gleane Street near Elmhurst Avenue just before 5 a.m. when a man approached her from behind and punched her on the head, causing her to fall to the floor, police said. 

    The man tried to grab the woman while she was on the ground, but the woman resisted. The suspect groped her, then ran away.
