    Police in Hackensack, N.J. are investigating an attempted luring of a boy and say it may be linked to similar ones reported in Oradell and Maywood.

    The 11-year-old boy told police he was walking to school at about 7:30 a.m. Friday when he was approached by a man driving a Jeep Wrangler at the intersection of Union and Sussex streets, police said.

    Police in Maywood, New Jersey have released a sketch of the man they say attempted to lure a 8-year-old girl off the street. New Jersey Reporter Brian Thompson has more. (Published Friday, Oct 19, 2012)

    The man asked the boy if he knew where Costco was located. When the boy said he didn't know, the man asked him to get into the car.

    The boy refused and walked away, police said. The man then drove away.

    The man is described as older with stubby facial hair and was wearing sunglasses.

    Police in Oradell and Maywood are investigating similar incidents reported there in the last week.
