2 Arrested in Strangulation Death of Queens Spanish Teacher

Two men have been arrested in connection with the death of a 53-year-old Queens middle school teacher, who was found strangled in his home in January, police said.

Police say Elijah Agyepong and Cecil Golden, both of the Bronx, were charged with first-degree murder in the death of David Rangel, whose body was found under his couch in his Jackson Heights apartment on Jan. 26.

Agypong, 19, was arrested early Thursday; Golden, 20, was arrested a day earlier.

Law enforcement officials previously said Rangel may have met one or both of the suspects online.

He was a Spanish teacher at Paul Klapper School in Flushing.

It wasn't clear if either of the men charged in his death had attorneys.
