Arrest Made in Fatal Stabbing of Elderly Bronx Man

Police have arrested a man who they say fatally stabbed an elderly man multiple times in the Bronx earlier this week.

Charles Stevens, 52, has been charged with second-degree murder, felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon in the death of 69-year-old James Hardy, according to police.

Authorities say Stevens stabbed Hardy multiple times on Tuesday evening in Morris Heights. Hardy was taken to Bronx Lebanon Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

It was not immediately clear if Stevens had an attorney.
