Largest-Ever Apple Store Opens at Grand Central Friday

It's been undergoing construction for months ahead of its grand debut

It's official: the Apple store at Grand Central Terminal is opening this Friday.

The company announced on its website Monday the store will be opening at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9.

It will be open regularly Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

It's also offering extended holiday hours this month.

At 23,000 square feet, it will be the largest Apple store ever. The company is expected to pay $1.1 million annually for the space. It reportedly paid its predecessor, Metrazur restaurant, $5 million for the remaining nine years of their lease.
