Amber Alert Canceled for Boy, 5, Girl, 2, in the Bronx

Police say Edward Fitz, 29, fired a gun during the dispute and set the home on fire before taking the children

An Amber Alert has been canceled for a 5-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl, who police originally said were abducted Sunday morning in the Bronx.

Initially, police said Nazir Edwards, 5, and Mlyliah Edwards, 2, were abducted by their father at around 4 a.m. after a domestic altercation at a home on Barker Avenue.

Police say Fitz Edwards, 29, fired a gun during the dispute and set the home on fire before taking the children. No injuries were reported.

Police said the alert was canceled around noon Sunday, when the children were found in a car in Harlem. Authorities are still searching for their father.
