Alleged Inwood Groper Arrested

Danis Pelaez was charged with forcible touching and acting in a manner injurious to a child in connection with the incidents March 22

A 35-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly groping four teenage girls in Inwood last week, police say.

Danis Pelaez was charged with forcible touching and acting in a manner injurious to a child in connection with the incidents March 22.

Authorities say he allegedly walked up to each of the victims, aged from 13 to 18, told them they were pretty or sexy and grabbed their thighs, buttocks or waists. The incidents all happened over about a two-hour period.

Pelaez was previously convicted of sexual assault in Rhode Island. He is wanted by police there for failing to notify the department of a change of address, according to DNAInfo.

It wasn't known if Pelaez had an attorney.
