A lawyer for a sister of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects said the family may issue a public statement on the case Tuesday.
Attorney Joseph Ginarte showed up Monday at the apartment building in West New York where police say Ailina Tsarnaeva has been holed up with her husband and baby.
Ginarte said it's a very difficult time for the family.
"The family is going through a lot," he said. "It's a very difficult time for the family. She has a little baby upstairs — it's very difficult."
The woman spoke briefly early Friday through a barely open door to several news outlets. That was after elder brother Tamerlan was killed in a gunfight with police outside Boston, but before the capture of her younger brother, Dzhokhar.
She said she was sorry for the families that lost loved ones. She also said she wasn't sure what had gotten into her two brothers, but also that she didn't know what was true.
"I'm not OK, just like everybody else is not OK," she said. "No one is OK. It's very shocking."

Ailina Tsarneava said she had not seen her brothers in years. Her husband said he never met the two men in the year and a half he has been with her.
Mayor Felix Roque said he visited the apartment late Friday, shortly after the younger brother's arrest. He said Ailina Tsarnaeva's other sister was also present at the time.
"They were grieving, very somber, hugging each other, crying, towels in their face. It was very, a very sad thing, very depressing," he said Monday.
Ailina said she wanted to "set the record straight," but did not elaborate, the mayor said.
Police have been posted outside Ailina's home, but Roque and West New York Police Commissioner Caridad Rodriguez said they're actually on alert for the entire town.
"If people know that she's being protected and that the town is protected, that there's police presence, I'm sure the crazies will stay away," said Rodriguez.
