Baby Boy Abandoned in Apartment Building Foyer

Police said the 2- to 3-month-old was discovered in a car seat next to a diaper bag filled with formula, a blanket and diapers

Police are trying to identify a baby left abandoned in a Brooklyn apartment building foyer Saturday afternoon.

A woman was taking out garbage at about 2 p.m. inside 413 62nd St. in Sunset Park when she discovered the baby, police said. The boy was in a car seat on the floor, wearing a onesie and wrapped in a blanket.

A diaper bag filled with formula, a blanket and diapers was sitting next to the baby.

The baby appeared to be about two to three months old, police said.

Police and EMS responded, and took the baby to Lutheran Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
