A Stolen Car, A Tragic Crash, A Life Cut Short

Driver leaves scene of deadly Bronx crash

A 17-year-old boy lost his life early Monday on a Bronx street. Now, police are looking for the alleged car thief who killed him.

Investigators say the teen was walking on White Plains Road at Seward Avenue around 1 a.m. when a stolen green Honda Accord, heading south on White Plains, hit him.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the stolen car apparently took off running after the crash, cops said.

Police were unable to give a description of that driver this morning, and the victim's name has not been released.
