PHOTOS: Robbers Reach into Trains, Snatch Phones

Police are searching for a pair of robbers who have stolen phones from subway riders at the 7th Avenue station

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects in a string of subway robberies in Midtown just over a week ago.

The robberies happened between Monday, Oct. 24 to Tuesday, Nov. 1, in the late afternoon to evening hours, according to police. In most of the cases, the suspects were on the 7th Avenue Station platform when a train pulled into the station. The suspects would then reach into the train, forcibly remove a cell phone or an iPod touch from someone on the train, then run away, police said.

The victims in all cases were women, ranging in age from 22 to 40.

No one was injured in any of the robberies.
