7 Firefighters Injured in Staten Island House Fire

Firefighters from 25 units responded to the house fire in Stapleton

At least seven firefighters were injured battling a two alarm fire on Staten Island Thursday night.

Firefighters from 25 units responded to a house fire in Stapleton after a call came in around 9:40 p.m., officials said.
   
Amateur cell phone video captured the scene on Van Duzer Street, where the fire burned close to homes designated as historic landmarks.

According to the FDNY, all the injuries were minor.
   
The fire was under control by 11 p.m. The home involved in the fire was empty at the time, authorities said.
