Authorities say a 5-year-old New York City girl has drowned in a swimming pool at her family's summer home on the Jersey shore.
Deputy Chief Michael Mohel of the Ocean County prosecutor's office tells The Star-Ledger of Newark that Meghan Kelly was found in the pool in Mantoloking just after 3 p.m. Saturday.
He says Meghan's mother and sibling tried to revive her until paramedics arrived. She was pronounced dead at an emergency care center at about 4:30 p.m.
An autopsy will be conducted.
Mantoloking is the wealthiest municipality in New Jersey. It's located about 45 miles south of New York City.
