After sitting through five separate arraignments in Bronx Criminal Court Wednesday, Charnel Robinson had had enough of looking at the faces of the young men accused of killing her son.

Christopher Robinson was beaten to death at the jail on Rikers Island in October. A dozen inmates are charged with being affiliated with a jailhouse gang that killed Robinson while guards turned their backs.

Investigators said Robinson refused to join the gang, which led to his violent beating death in his cell.

"It's absolutely horrible to know that they're the reason why I'm living every day without my only child," Chantel Robinson said.

Along with the men who were arraigned Wedneday, Corrections Officers Michael McKie, Khalid Nelson and Denise Albright were charged last week with running "The Program," as they called it.
