Four people died in a car crash on Long Island early Saturday that seriously injured three others, officials said.
The driver of a Nissan sedan crossed a road median on Conklin Street in Farmingdale shortly after midnight and was hit by a GMC SUV, police said. The Nissan's driver and three of its passengers died in the accident, while a fourth was seriously injured.
A fifth passenger in the Nissan was also seriously injured and hospitalized, as were two people in the SUV.
Officials say they are investigating the crash and both the Nissan and SUV will undergo brake and safety checks.
