4-Alarm Fire in Queens Leaves 3 Injured

Flames could be seen shooting through the roof of the Kissena Boulevard building in Flushing

Several Queens families lost their homes after a four-alarm fire broke out in their seven-story apartment building Saturday night.
  
Flames could be seen shooting through the roof of the Kissena Boulevard building in Flushing. Officials say the fire began at around 10 p.m. on the top floor and extended to three apartments.

One firefighter and one resident were treated at the scene for minor injuries. Another person was taken to New York Queens Booth Memorial Hospital for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
