More Than 3,000 Participate in New York City Triathlon

The triathlon began 13 years ago

More than 3,000 participants swam in the Hudson River, biked on the Henry Hudson Parkway and ran in Central Park during Sunday's Aquaphor New York City Triathlon.

The event's winners were Jordan Jones of Golden, Colo., who had a time of 1:49:05, and Jenna Parker of Santa Monica, Calif., who clocked in at 2:01:50.

The triathlon began 13 years ago as part of the city's Olympic bid.
