Authorities are investigating the death of a 30-year-old man who was found in an East Harlem apartment by firefighters responding to a fire at the residence.
Police say the FDNY and police responded to the Taft Houses at 1385 Fifth Ave. where they found the victim in apparent cardiac arrest around 4 a.m. Monday.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
The identity of the victim was withheld pending family notification.
