3 Young Teens Punched, Killed Man in Hoboken: Prosecutors

Two of the teens are 13 and one is 14

Three young teenagers were arrested and charged with murder in connection with the killing of a 46-year-old man whose body was found on an iron fence in Hoboken, officials said.

The Hudson County Prosecutor's office said the three teens -- two 13-year-olds and one 14-year-old -- followed Ralph Eric Santiago down a Hoboken street on Sept. 10.

According to authorities, one of the teens punched Santiago, causing him to collapse onto an iron fence with his neck wedged between two fence posts, where he died.

Prosecutors said they believe the teens were playing "knockout," a violent game in which a pedestrian is attacked with the aim of rendering the person unconscious with one punch.

The three teens are all from Jersey City and turned themselves in Thursday and Friday, officials said.
