A 27-year-old woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver in the Bronx Sunday morning, police said.

Maria Dulce-Valencia was crossing Evergreen Avenue at the intersection of Bruckner Boulevard in Soundview just after 5 a.m., when she was struck by a black sedan that fled the scene of the crash.

Authorities responded and discovered Dulce-Valencia, of the Bronx, unresponsive in the street. She was pronounced dead soon after, officials said.

No arrests have been made and police are asking anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
