27-Year-Old Man Killed in Queens Motorcycle Crash

A 27-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle accident early Sunday morning in Queens.

According to police, the motorcyclist was in northbound lane of the Cross Island Parkway near the Whitestone Expressway when he lost control and hit a barrier.
   
The driver was found with severe head trauma and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A 27-year-old man riding on the back of the motorcycle was also injured. He was taken to a nearby hospital where officials said he was listed in stable condition.

No word yet on what caused the motorcyclist to lose control. Authorities have yet to release the identity of the victim.
