26-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed in Brooklyn

At the intersection of Stewart and Metropolitan avenues in Williamsburg police discovered the man lying on the ground with head trauma

26-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed in Brooklyn

A 26-year old bicyclist was killed in Brooklyn Monday morning, after he was struck by a vehicle, police said.

Police responded to the intersection of Stewart and Metropolitan avenues in Williamsburg at approximately 5:15 a.m. and discovered the man lying on the ground with head trauma. He was transported to Woodhull Hospital where was later pronounced dead.

The man's identity has not been released pending notification of his family.

It was unclear whether the vehicle stayed at the scene of the accident. An investigation is ongoing.
