Distraught family members of a 25-year-old man who was shot and killed in Queens Tuesday night say he was a good guy as authorities search for the shooter.

NYPD officers responded to a call about a man shot on Sutphin Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens just after 10 p.m. and found Gregory Haskins on the pavement right outside the apartment complex where he lived with a gunshot wound to his chest, according to police.

Witnesses say they heard about 4-5 shots and saw Haskins leaning out of his car that was parked outside the apartment. Emergency personnel transported him to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

"He's a good kid. He's never hurt nobody. I don't know why," a devastated family friend told News 4.

No arrests have been made and a police investigation is ongoing.
