A child was found dead Sunday morning in Galloway Township, authorities said.
Police canvassed the area at S. Pitney Road, and found the 2-year-old child unresponsive in a nearby residential pool, police said.
Emergency personnel performed CPR and transported the child to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus, police said.
The child was pronounced dead, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
