Gunfire at Brooklyn Park Hurts 2 People: Police

Two 19-year-olds were shot at a Brooklyn park, police said. 

The victims were with a group of people at a park at the Brownsville houses in on Stone Avenue on July 3 near midnight, the NYPD said. 

Two men approached the group just before midnight and opened fire, police said. 

A man and a woman, both 19, were each struck in the leg, police said. They were taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition. 

Police described the man who handed the gun to the shooter as about 18 to 25 years and wearing a white T-shirt and blue jean shorts. 

The shooter was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants, police said.
