2 New Jersey Teachers' Aides Facing Cocaine Charges

Two teachers' aides in northern New Jersey have been arrested on cocaine charges, police say.

Deborah Grom is accused of selling cocaine out of her Bayonne home, police say. Deborah Malia is accused of possessing cocaine.

Grom also faces drug distribution charges near Robinson Elementary and City Hall.

Malia was arrested on Jan. 29. Police say Grom was arrested on Feb. 5 after an investigation.

The superintendent for Bayonne's school district says the accusations didn't involve students and weren't directly related to their employment with the district.

Officials say both have been suspended until a determination can be made on whether further action is necessary.

Attorney information for the teachers wasn't immediately available.
