2 Men Shot, Wounded During Raucous House Party

New Jersey police say more than 500 people were in attendance at the New Brunswick house party

Two people were shot when several brawls broke out at a New Jersey house party attended by hundreds of people.

New Brunswick police responded to the home around 11:15 p.m. Friday and found more than 500 people in the area of Robinson Street and Center Avenue. Many of them were being disorderly and several fights were observed, police said.

As the crowds were being dispersed, a fight involving several people broke out on a nearby street. Gunfire soon erupted within the fighting group, and two people involved in the brawl were wounded.

Authorities say 19-year-old Marceus Dalins, of Irvington, was shot multiple times in the leg, arm, finger and abdomen, while 20-year-old Bobby Mack, of Hillside, was shot once in the hip.

Both men were expected to recover.

It wasn't immediately clear if anyone was arrested.
