2 Men Tell 10-Year-Old Boy to Get in Their Car on Long Island: Cops

Two men tried to lure a young boy into their car Thursday on Long Island, Nassau County police say.

They say a 10-year-old boy was walking on North Brookside Avenue and Maryland Avenue in Freeport around 3 p.m. when the two men pulled up in front of him.

They stopped and told the boy to get inside their car, but the boy ran away, police said. 

The car is described as a white, four-door sedan, possibly a Honda Accord. 

The suspects, who police described as being in their 20s, were last seen traveling north on Brookside Avenue.

No injuries were reported.
