Two people have been arrested in connection with the deadly beating of a 61-year-old man in the Bronx.
Police responded to a call of a man assaulted on 138th St. in Mott Haven around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. That's where police found the victim, Quentin Guerrero, unconscious with trauma to the head.
Guerrero was transported to Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police later arrested a man and a woman in connection with the attack but the pair has not yet been charged. A passing taxi driver saw two people assaulting the man on the street and was able to provide a description of the assailants, police said.
According to the New York Post, Guerrero was a retired Verizon worker and well liked by his neighbors.
The motive behind the attack is unclear.
