15 Reputed Gang Members Indicted in NJ

Federal authorities in New Jersey have indicted 15 reputed members of the Bloods street gang for
racketeering.

The indictment unsealed Monday charges the defendants with crimes including murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, carjacking and drug and weapons offenses.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says the defendants include members of senior leadership who ran the Fruit Town and Brick City Brims set of the gang in Newark, Jersey City and Paterson.

Among those indicted was 41-year-old Vincent Young. Prosecutors say he moved from Los Angeles to New Jersey in the early 1990s and founded the New Jersey-based set of the Fruit Town Brims.

It wasn't known if Young had retained an attorney.
