12 Injured as Bus Slams Parked Cars, House in Queens: MTA

A dozen people were taken to area hospitals Saturday night after a bus plowed through two parked cars and smashed into a house in Queens, authorities said.

The Q113 bus was cruising along Guy Brewer Boulevard in Springfield at about 9:45 p.m. when it collided with an oncoming car, a Metropolitan Transportation Authority official said. The bus then struck two parked vehicles and rammed a house at the intersection of South Conduit Avenue and Guy Brewer Boulevard.

The injuries ranged from minor to serious, emergency rescue officials said.

Investigators are still attempting to determine the cause of the accident.
