1 Dead in I-80 Crash in NJ: Troopers

Two cars crashed on a New Jersey interstate early Sunday, killing one person, state police said.

A Honda Accord and a Pathfinder were in the westbound lanes of I-80 near Parsippany-Troy Hills when they crashed around 3:30 a.m., Sgt. Lawrence Peele said.

One of the people in the Accord was pronounced dead at the scene, Peele said. It wasn't immediately clear whether the person who died was the driver or a passenger.

All lanes of I-80 had reopened by 8 a.m.
